While many of the materials used by security specialists are the same, the comparison ends there. What separates Total Security Solutions from the rest of the industry is our ability to accurately assess your security needs, design a multi-material system that provides the exact level of bullet-resistant security needed, and craft those various materials into a system that seamlessly integrates into the design/decor of your facility.
Retrofitting a Bullet-Resistant Barrier
When the Texas bank featured in the image to the right approached Total Security Solutions looking to retrofit their facility with a bullet-resistant barrier, their first stipulation was that the original wood details remain. One of our greatest strengths is the ability to manufacture ballistic barriers fully customized to your exact specifications within approximately the same lead times as most standard products from other manufacturers. We were able to work with the financial institution to retrofit their facility with bullet-resistant frames, ballistic glass featuring a natural acrylic talk-thru with rectangle backer designed to complement the vertical columns of the existing wood, as well as counter-mount cash trays. In addition, the counters were reinforced with bullet-resistant fiberglass.
Measure Twice (at least); Cut Once.
As with all our installations, a Total Security Solutions’ sales engineer field measured the facility for installation, precisely recording measurements accurate to within 1/32″. After inputting the dimensions into AutoCAD architectural design software, the precise specifications are streamed into our computer-driven production machinery, from which the various components of a bullet-resistant barrier are manufactured.
Because the bullet-resistant barrier systems we manufacture are precisely designed and manufactured to fit each individual space, there is very little cutting or drilling required on-site; often there is none at all. That speeds installation and virtually eliminates dust or metal shavings. Even with the level of customization demanded by this bank, we were able to minimize their work interruption by starting installation after Saturday’s business hours and finishing before they opened the doors on Monday morning.
If you want a system that screams “bullet-resistant!”, yes, we can do that quite well. But what sets Total Security Solutions apart is our ability to integrate aluminum, acrylic, polycarbonate, fiberglass, plastic laminate, and hand-crafted wood into a security system that looks as if it belongs in your space. You, your staff, and your customers will feel safe, comfortable, and right at home.
