In October 2024, TSS celebrated 20 years of protecting what matters most. But we haven’t gotten to this milestone on our own. We’ve had an incredible community supporting us along the way. So, CEO Jim Richards decided that the 20th anniversary celebration should include giving back to the place we call home. To mark our 20th year, we made a $20,000 donation to a local nonprofit that means a lot to many of us at TSS, Family Impact Centers of Fowlerville.
Family Impact Centers Supports Fowlerville Families With Food—and Hope
Family Impact Centers is located in our hometown, Fowlerville, Michigan. They are dedicated to improving the lives of those in need by providing essential resources and support. Their mission is to offer hope and to bring restoration to our community. Family Impact Centers is a Christian non-profit organization that commenced its journey in March of 2002. Since their inception, they have remained steadfast in our commitment to serving those in need within the Fowlerville community and its surrounding areas. Family Impact Centers works hand-in-hand with local communities and area churches to offer hope and to bring restoration to individuals and families in need.
Family Impact Centers provide people with the essential resources they need to be successful. For too many people in our community, this includes food. Fortunately, that’s exactly where Family Impact Centers steps in, making sure local families have access to nutritious groceries.
Why Supporting Family Impact Centers Matters to TSS
As an organization, TSS has always prioritized protecting what matters most. It can be difficult to go through life if you’re constantly worried about violence involving firearms and your physical safety. It can also be difficult if you’re facing food insecurity. As we celebrate our 20th year, we’re grateful to empower Family Impact Centers as they support people with such essential services. We’re all in this together—and we couldn’t be more grateful to have such an important resource in our community.
Our Partnership Means More Community Stability and Resources
Unfortunately, our Fowlerville neighbors are increasingly relying on Family Impact Centers to meet their essential needs. Since April, their pantry has gone from serving an average of 65 families each month to nearly 150 today. The additional resources will help Family Impact Centers keep up with the growing demand, allowing them to provide each family with essential groceries, fresh produce, and pantry staples.
As a result of our partnership, families in need receive food and resources without facing tough choices between essentials like food, rent, and utilities. In the words of Family Impact Centers Executive Director Michael Shafer, “With TSS behind us, we can focus on what truly matters—bringing stability and compassion to every family we serve.”
20 Years of Protecting What Matters Most
After 20 years, TSS is immensely grateful to serve our community, our customers, and our team. For us, this extends beyond our own walls and into the communities where we work, live, and play.
