In these cases, TSS can design a bulletproof entryway system that funnels all visitors through a security checkpoint before they can access more sensitive areas of the building. These systems use a ballistic curtain wall to partition off the entryway and a built-in security booth to monitor the flow of visitors.

Ballistic doors from TSS are custom-made to best blend with the existing fixtures and aesthetics. For most reception areas, a fiberglass-reinforced wood door will both look good and be easy for contractors or locksmiths to work with if you ultimately want to upgrade the locks or install an access control system or “buzz-thru” electric strike system. For exterior doors, aluminum or steel doors offer high levels of protection and durability.

Choosing the Right Level of Protection for Bulletproof Security Booths
The UL 752 Standard for Bullet-Resisting Equipment is the gold standard for evaluating bullet-resistant building materials. TSS products are tested to UL 752 standards. The levels are broken into two main categories.
- Levels 1-3 are rated to stop three-shot clusters from common handguns.
- Levels 4-8 are rated to stop one to five shots from various rifles and submachine guns.
